CHAINSAW MAINTENANCE AND CROSSCUT
(CS30.1 & CS30.2)
This is a two day course with an NPTC assessment on the third day. During the course you will be taught to a high standard of chainsaw maintenance, safe use, and operation.

This is a four day course with an NPTC assessment on the fifth day. During the week you will be taught to a high standard of small tree felling techniques.
At the end of the course you will take an assessment, which will be assessed by an NPTC assessor......
CHAINSAW MAINTENANCE AND SMALL TREE FELLING
(CS30 AND CS31)
This is a five day course, with both NPTC assessments on the sixth day. The course covers maintenance of a chainsaw and techniques required to be able to fell a tree under guidebar length. Prior to assessment in CS31, candidates must achieve unit CS30.

TREE CLIMBING AND AERIAL RESCUE
(CS38)
This is a five day course, with an NPTC assessment on the sixth day. During the course, candidates will be shown methods of tree climbing, working around the canopy, and will learn how to perform an aerial rescue. There are no prerequisites for this assessment.

(CS39)
This is a three day course with an NPTC assessment on the fourth day. This course consists of teaching different cuts needed to remove small branches, attaining good work position and safety within the tree. Prior to assessment in CS39, candidates must achieve units CS30, CS31 and CS38.
