This is a three day course with a City & Guilds (NPTC) assessment on the fourth day. This course consists of teaching different cuts needed to remove small branches, attaining good work position and safety within the tree. Prior to assessment in CS39, candidates must achieve units CS30, CS31 and CS38.
During the course candidates will cover:
- Health & Safety requirements, including current legislation, PPE, safe operation, and Risk Assessments
- Gaining good work positions to receive a chainsaw and remove branches safely
- Various techniques to be able to remove branches without damaging objects below
- Pruning cuts explained
