This is a one day course with a City & Guilds (NPTC) assessment on the second day. The course covers hazardous trees which require additional or alternative felling methods to be used due to their size or situation. Prior to assessment in CS33, candidates must achieve units CS30, CS31 and CS32.
During the course candidates will cover:
- Health & Safety requirements, including current legislation, PPE,safe operation, and Risk Assessments
- Fell larger sized trees safely and accurately using an appropriate method
- Sned and/or de-limb larger sized trees
- Crosscut stems over guide bar length in diameter
- Using a hand winch to assist with felling, or taking down a ‘hung up’ tree
