Dismantle operations
(CS41)

This course covers techniques required to be able to dismantle a tree safely, using techniques suitable for location and tree, without causing damage to surroundings. This course can cover the basics in 3 days or advanced techniques in 5 days.

Basic Course Objectives:

H
&S requirements, including current legislation, PPE,safe operation, and Risk Assessments.

Knowledge and understanding, including choosing appropriate rigging points, basic knowledge of forces and loads on equipment and trees.

Using 3 strand ropes to remove lateral and vertical sections.

Use of climbing Irons (spikes).

Advance Course Objectives:

As above including:

Additional equipment - lowering ropes, pullies, slings and friction devices.

GRCS set up and use.

Zip Lines.

Duration Of Course:
Basic 3 day course NPTC assessment on third day.

Adavanced 5 day course NPTC assessment on fifth day.

Pre-Requisites:
Prior to assessment in CS41 Candidates must achieve Units CS30, CS31, CS38 and CS39.
