Climb trees & perform aerial rescue
(CS38)

Candidates will be shown methods of tree climbing, working around the canopy, and able to perform aerial rescue.

Course Objectives:
H&S requirements, including current legislation, PPE,safe operation, and Risk Assessments.

A thorough kit check and knowledge.

A thorough Visual Tree Assessment (VTA).

Different ascending methods to gain access into the tree, including ladders, throw bags, footlocking, body-thrust technique using friction hitches, and spiking.

A range of knots.

Basic First Aid and emergency procedures.

Different techniques to rescue a casualty from a tree.

Duration Of Course:
5 days NPTC assessment on Fifth day .
